Your new role



The Senior Financial Analyst will provide support to Financial and Business colleagues and assist in financial planning and technology business management to promote financial discipline for technology organizations. Key components of the role include helping to build the budget and forecasts, ensuring the accuracy of reported actual costs, and reporting on variance analysis to both Business and Financial leaders. The Senior Analyst will support the Technology Finance Team with financial reporting and analytical support to be used for strategic and tactical decision-making, long range financial plans, annual operating plan and forecast cycles. Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:




Financial Management




  • Assist with the preparation of the Long Range Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and Monthly Financial Reviews for technology in collaboration with business partners and Finance colleagues aligned with the Company’s fiscal calendar.

  • Partner with the Finance and Technology teams to collect accurate information to assist with the capital planning process. Coordinate with the teams to ensure all submissions are on-time.

  • Upload the budgets and forecasts into the planning system and apply any changes in assumptions in a timely manner.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date CAPEX and OPEX data within the planning tool.

  • Assist the Technology Finance team to compare data to budget and OPEX and CAPEX metrics and report variances and cause of change to business partners and leaders.

  • Working with department heads to provide day-to-day financial management and business support




Analytics




  • Analyze technology costs in terms of business value and identify performance metrics for business intelligence, insights and trends.

  • Participate in ROI and business case building to support project spend justifications.

  • Help to identify and monitor metrics that measure performance against priorities.




Operational




  • Support budget transactions such as overseeing the PO workflow to ensure completeness and accuracy or advising vendors on invoice processing.

  • Recommend process improvements that maximize the team’s efficiency/effectiveness

  • Help prepare and consolidate various ad hoc analysis, reports and information requests.

  • Responsible to multiple stakeholders with conflicting priorities and projects.




What you'll need to succeed




  • BSC/MSC degree in Accounting/Finance/Technology Business Management

  • CPA, ACCA (or equivalent)

  • Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in a broad range of technology finance/budget management and/or business consulting experience

  • Strong business English language skills both oral and written (preferably C1 or above)

  • Strong working knowledge of general accounting principles, concepts and processes (US GAAP/IFRS).

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment, with competing priorities

  • Ability to synthesize and analyze vast data sets to identify and summarize key business insights along with attention to detail ensure accuracy of inputted CAPEX and OPEX data

  • Flexibility – a reasonable amount of overtime might be required around month end and year end

  • Experience in HFM, Longview and SAP is useful for faster integration

  • Experience in the Media and Entertainment industry understanding is a plus
